running

In the Zone

By now I know the beach better than my handbag. Seriously! I couldn’t tell you all the contents of my handbag, but I can tell you exactly which big rock is where right now and what and how and why the sand/pebbles and beach is the way it is. I know each dog and nearly every bird and where they will be and what they like to do. I love running there in the dark. Today was my easy day and I got to spent 50 minutes hanging out in the warm morning air, letting my feet to their thing.

Around me the world woke up. The trains went past, collecting the early commuters. When I was done, I was a little sad. Sad that I can’t continue on, that I have to work … I have to wait until tomorrow … then I can run again.

    1. Thanks! As you remember I was quite scared initially to do beach stuff in the dark, but now I’m used to it and it’s my beach! It’s such a great feeling to be able to whatever I want in the dark. Like spread my wings and fly πŸ™‚

      1. Brilliant. They say that stepping outside your comfort zone is good for you, and evidently it has worked for you! Just daring to have a go is amazing in itself. Go girl!!!πŸ˜ƒ

      2. You are too kind! Yes I’ve slowly adapted . But you know in the dark I look probably as scary as any bad guy. Especially with my head torch. If anyone dares to come close I just shine it at them and they will be blinded! Then I run so slow, there is always something left in the tank and I could speed up and run away fast. It is also a great way to get into the halloween spirit with skelettons looking at me from behind bushes. I should take photos of those.

      2. I work for myself … I’d rather run. You work for someone else … You’d rather run … there is no perfect answer, but let’s keep running and looking for it πŸ˜…
