Finding home

This week I was on a trip and ran through woods similar to the ones I grew up in.

For years I didn’t have a home … a place were I belong to … were I am meant to be. I lived in different countries and meet wonderful people … but it wasn’t home.

Being back at my beach today to play with the waves made me realize how lucky I am to have found such a place now. Running in this place for over a year now made this feeling much more intense. I know every rock and dog and am still amazed and in awe at the beauty of my surroundings.

Finally I found home.

  1. Both photos are stunning for the same reasons. Just beautiful places to connect with. Where are those trees if you don’t mind me asking? Being in tune with “home turf” is special though. Glad you’ve found a home =)

      1. Next plan – Run Bavarian trails! I must admit while not running Ive been hatching ideas about a European run in the distant future – There are so many awesome looking races out there!

  2. What a wonderful thing that you have found home after being rootless in your childhood. You certainly seem to love the landscape you are living in and always take wonderful photographs. You don’t even mind the rain..I also feel very settled in my home partly because I have such a wonderful space to write in – a glass loft conversion looking out over a large, beautiful roof terrace covered in plants and flowers.

      1. Now that you mentioned it I agree, I discover more and more about this new home of mine as I run (some of it not nice if you saw my post today, but most of it awesome!). Let’s face it, running just makes everything better! ๐Ÿ˜‰
